The truck includes two completely constructed container systems and a 12-foot-long deck. To satisfy the requirements of particular applications, both fast and slow charging options will be available.

Eicher  delivers 5.5-tonne electric truck to Safexpress

Gurugram- Eicher Trucks and Buses., of VE Commercial Vehicles has partnered with  Safexpress, an Indian logistics and supply chain organization, by delivering the 100th Eicher truck into Safeexpress’s fleet during the current fiscal year during a ceremony to commemorate the milestone. On the other side, the OEM also gave Safexpress the Eicher Pro 2055 EV, India's first 5.5-ton electric truck. 

Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO, VECV said, “Today, we are celebrating our association by marking the delivery of Safeexpress’ 100th Eicher truck for this fiscal year, and the introduction of India’s first 5.5-tonne GVW electric truck, the Eicher Pro 2055 EV.”

The Eicher Pro 2055 EV is built on reliable electric vehicle technology from Eicher that is previously applied in intra-city bus applications. The truck includes two completely constructed container systems and a 12-foot-long deck. To satisfy the requirements of particular applications, both fast and slow charging options will be available. The availability of charging infrastructure, operating needs, charging time restrictions, battery capacity, and fleet-wide energy management plans are all taken into account by the service solution. The vehicle will be furnished with Eicher's cutting-edge telematics system, which will be made possible by the My Eicher services.
