Mumbai- Greencell Mobility Private Limited., an e-mobility solution provider in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, an electric mobility solutions provider has declared that 150 intra-city electric buses will be sent to Ayodhya for the historic Ram Mandir consecration ceremony, with Greencell Mobility being chosen as a partner by the Director of Urban Transport.

According to reports, this fleet will be essential in helping the anticipated 2 million devotees in Ayodhya who will need intra-city transportation from mid-January to the end of February. This time, which includes the day of the ceremony and the days that follow, is important for pilgrims and believers.

By avoiding around 600 tonnes of tailpipe emissions per month, the usage of these 150 e-buses will drastically reduce carbon impact. On January 14, 2024, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath officially launched these e-buses in Ayodhya.

Mr. Devndra Chawla, CEO & MD of GreenCell Mobility said that, Deploying our buses throughout the city, we are delighted and thrilled to be a part of Ayodhya's transformation into an eco-friendly tourism destination. Our goal has always been to support environmentally friendly modes of transportation, therefore the government's choice to deploy electric buses for this significant event is a wonderful fit with that goal. It's about becoming a part of a group effort to create a cleaner, greener future, not simply about transporting people.

approximately 700 buses have reportedly been deployed in Uttar Pradesh by GreenCell Mobility, saving approximately 22,000 tonnes of annual tailpipe emissions.
