Burtenbach, Germany- Kögel Trailer GmbH & Co.KG., a manufacturer of commercial vehicles and trailers is to deliver Spedition Schwarz 40 EuroTrailers (type 1 long trucks) with volume-optimized bodies. In addition, Schwarz will also receive six Kögel Mega.

The Schwarz haulage company from Herbrechtingen in Baden-Württemberg primarily transports large-volume loads such as white goods. In order to keep the CO2 footprint of its transports as low as possible, the company uses the volume-optimized Kögel EuroTrailer with mega body and three-meter clear interior height as well as lifting roof. The semitrailer, which has been extended by 1.38 meters (long truck type 1), offers up to 111 cubic meters of usable volume - which is around ten percent more than conventional Mega-Trailers - or four additional Euro-pallet spaces. In addition, transport with the EuroTrailer has been proven to generate up to ten percent fewer CO2 emissions.

The company has ordered a total of 46 units, 40 EuroTrailers and 6 conventional mega trailers, from Kögel this year. It has just taken delivery of the first 13 EuroTrailers. In the meantime, the haulage company's fleet already includes 76 Kögel trailers.
