Hyderabad – Olectra Greentech Ltd (formerly Goldstone Infratech Ltd) through its strategic tie-up with BYD Auto Industry of Shenzhen, China, and Evey Trans Private Limited (EVEY) of Hyderabad has received the letter of award from Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd for 350 electric buses under FAME-II scheme of Government of India. This order is for the supply of 350 electric buses on Gross Cost Contract (GCC) / OPEX model basis for a period of 12 years.

Evey Trans will procure these 350 electric buses from Olectra Greentech, which shall be delivered over a period of seven months. The maintenance of these buses shall also be undertaken by the company during the contract period.

The value of this tender is approximately USD79.17m to the Company. The transactions between the Company and EVEY are to be considered as related party transactions and shall be on arm's length basis.

2eBuzz K9 city bus is rated at 16t gvw and powered by in-wheel motors rated at 200KW and powered using BYD Goldstone FE-type Lithium ion phosphate batteries with short circuit protection, over temperature control function and lightning protection. The low floor chassis is 12m in length with a wheelbase of 6,100mm. It has electronically controlled air suspension (ECAS) front and rear axles with a seating capacity of 39 and an optional provision for one wheelchair. It can be fully charged in 4 to 5 hours and has a range of up to 250km. It also has a regenerative braking system which enables the bus to recover a part of the kinetic energy lost in braking.

3eBuzz K7 is rated at 13.5tgvw and powered by in-wheel motors rated at 180KW and powered using Goldstone FE-type Lithium ion phosphate batteries with short circuit protection, over temperature control function and lightning protection, giving it a range of up to un 200km on a single charge. Goldstone suggests the batteries can be fully recharged in less than four hours. The low floor chassis is 9m in length is fitted with front and rear disc brake axles with electronically controlled air suspension.
