Rome, Italy - The 2024 EIMA event, held from November 6 to 10 at Bologna's exhibition center, presents a dynamic program of over 150 conferences, workshops, talk shows, and off-site events. These sessions will address key topics in agriculture and agro-mechanics.
The event lineup, backed by institutions, trade publications, and industry organizations, provides key updates on topics like agricultural policy, machinery markets, green care, international cooperation, work safety, employment prospects, and tech innovations. Additionally, the EIMA Campus area, featuring 11 universities and the Italian Association of Agricultural Engineering, will offer lessons and training activities for students throughout the exposition.
This year’s trade fair coincides with active political discussions on eco-sustainable agriculture, market trends, African development, and training in agro-mechanics, making the event’s policy-focused sessions particularly relevant. Highlights include an inaugural talk on agromechanical technologies, skills, and market challenges, followed by a session on Africa's development under the new free trade area. Additional meetings will address political strategies and the role of Italian innovation in agricultural machinery.
EIMA 2024 will spotlight digital and robotic technologies, AI in agriculture, and advanced electronics, with key sessions on agricultural robotics, ISOBUS certification, data security, and the new EU legislative framework. Highlights include conferences on "Transition 5.0," bioenergy, agrivoltaics, and the "Agri Digital Growth" project. Programs for young farmers, like the "Agrimage" creativity contest, and employment sessions under Mech@grijobs will also feature. Prestigious awards, including Tractor of the Year and Contractor of the Year, plus meetings from the Club of Bologna and Agrievolution, round out this year’s extensive schedule.
