RPG Group appoints a Vice Chairman for its CEAT and Zensar Technologies
Mr. Anant will lead the group’s next phase of growth, driving strategy, sustainability, digital and innovation across the group.
Mumbai- RPG Group., an conglomerates business, announced the appointment of Mr.Anant Goenka as Vice Chairman of the diversified group.
In addition to his new role, Mr. Anant Goenka will continue to serve as the Vice Chairman of CEAT and Zensar Technologies. This move strengthens the leadership at the group headed by Harsh Goenka, ensuring stability and continuity in the long term for the group, which is acclaimed for its corporate governance and people friendly value system.
Mr. Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Group said that, Anant's vast knowledge, which has helped CEAT achieve performance excellence over the past 10 years, will be essential in determining the direction of the RPG Group's upcoming growth phase. I think Anant has the necessary abilities and commercial savvy to usher in change and make a difference in how we adjust to technologies, markets, and customers because technology is what defines our period.
Anant, a very successful professional, brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position. Anant oversaw CEAT's highly revolutionary 10-year history as Managing Director & CEO prior to serving as Vice Chairman of CEAT and Zensar Technologies. Under his direction, the company's market valuation increased noticeably by more than 20 times.
Anant started his career with Unilever and the RPG Group firm KEC International before joining CEAT. He holds a degree from the Wharton School and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. CEAT became the first tyre brand in the world to earn the prestigious Deming Grand Prize thanks in large part to his leadership, which was instrumental in the company's historic achievement.
Because of his outstanding accomplishments, Anant Goenka has received accolades such as "India's Under 40 Business Leader" by CEO Forum in 2020, "GQ: 50 Most Influential Young Indians" in 2018, and "Next Generation Business Leader of the Year" by Forbes in 2017. Additionally, he was included in "India's 40 Under 40 Business Leaders" by the Economic Times-Spencer Stuart. As chairman of the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA), he has also presided over the organisation.
