Tata DLT diversifies into development of trailer aggregates
Pune- Tata International DLT Ltd1 of Pune, a joint venture between Tata International Ltd and Dutch Lanka Trailer Manufacturers (P) Ltd (DLT) of Colombo, Sri Lanka, a manufacturer of trailers has initiated diversification sale of trailer aggregates to various customers as standalone basis, they have showcased their air-suspension and axles combination.
Rajeev Batra, CEO, Tata International DLT, said “We are working on development of our own aggregates because we feel backward integration is important and hence, we have developed our own axles, own suspensions and tippers, We are also looking at offering solution for refuse trucks utilizing our core expertise of fabrication and machining and within a year or two should come up with new products. This and many other things shall allow us to explore even export markets,”

Headquartered in Waki, Pune, the company manufactures products under the brand name Tata DLT. The company also has manufacturing facilities in Ajmer, Jamshedpur and Nigoje, Pune. The company manufactures all kind of standard trailers such as flatbed, skeletal, sidewall, semi low-bed, bomb-cart; special trailers such as truck chassis carriers, car carriers, tractor carriers, tip trailers; curtain sliders, coil well trailers; customized trailers for equipment manufacturing companies and special trailers for defense requirements.
