Noida / Pithampur/Chennai - Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) of Noida, a Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG), is planning to open three new plants with an undisclosed investment involves 2 plants in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and one plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu by the first quarter of FY20 in India.

In Pithampur, these two plants are additional to the existing Pithampur I- MSSL wiring harness division, Pithampur II plant will manufacture wires and it will be operational by Dec 2018, Pithampur III plant will manufacture wiring harness and it will be operational by Apr 2019.

Mr. GN Gauba, CFO, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd said "The company is planning three new plants in India by financial year 2020. We will be coming up with two new plants in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and one plant in Chennai,"
