Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Farm Equipment Sector (FES)., an agricultural equipment manufacturer, achieved record domestic tractor sales of 407,094 units in FY 2025, marking a 12% increase from 364,526 units in 2024. March sales growth 34% to 32,582 units, up from 24,276 in March 2024.

Total tractor sales, including exports, raise 12% in FY 2025 to 424,641 units. Exports saw impressive growth, reaching 17,547 units for the year (+27%), with March exports surging 35% to 2,352 units.

Mr. Hemant Sikka, President of Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said, "We have achieved our highest ever tractor sales in F25 with a growth of 12%. This is driven by very strong retail sales across the country and lowest ever dealer channel inventory. The tractor industry has been witnessing good momentum on account of favorable weather conditions, good reservoir levels, strong rabi outlook and positive terms of trade for farmers. Harvest season has commenced in the northern regions and is expected to progress smoothly across the country."

Mahindra reported a 19% increase in tractor sales. In February, domestic sales raise to 27,735 units from 23,298 in February 2024. Sikka attributed the growth to "good progress in the rabi harvesting season" and "improved cash flow within the farming community," factors that have supported continued sales growth into March.

The agricultural machinery sector is seeing growth, driven by supportive government policies, better rural infrastructure, and increased farmer awareness of modern equipment. Sikka remains optimistic, noting that the momentum from March's festive season is expected to continue into Q1 FY26, fueled by a strong Rabi crop harvest and improved cash flow for farmers.
