Rampini presents Midibus Hydron in Busworld 2023
Rampini its first time in Busworld Europe in Brussels and shows its full portfolio of Zero Emission buses.
Perugia, Italy- Rampini SpA., an Italian bus and coach manufacturer, for the first time in Busworld Europe in Brussels and shows its full portfolio of Zero Emission buses in a compact size. The highlight will be the presentation of the new Hydrogen Range Extender Midibus HYDRON, that goes into production in 2024. Also the electric version of the eight meter Midibus ELTRON is featured with a new Design called “Stile Energetico”, made by the prestigious Italian Design Studio Vernacchia, SIXTRON for up to 28 passengers – also fully electric.
They introduced a hybrid solution. They offer a compact Midibus called HYDRON, equipped with a well-sized battery and a 30 kW hydrogen fuel cell range extender. This approach combines the advantages of both technologies.
The HYDRON's battery pack has a capacity of 175 kWh, supplemented by a compact 30 kW fuel cell from Loop Energy. This innovative setup offers efficient energy usage, lower hydrogen consumption, and high peak power. The excess heat generated by the fuel cell can be used for heating, benefiting passengers and drivers.
RAMPINI's "Hy4Drive" system manages the fuel cell, providing four driving modes:
Range Extender: Balancing battery and hydrogen energy to maximize range.
Pure Hydrogen: Running solely on stored hydrogen.
Pure Electric: Operating as a conventional battery electric vehicle.
Hybrid Custom: Customizable energy usage to match specific needs.
The RAMPINI ELTRON is another offering a compact full low-floor midibus suitable for narrow city centers. It features a modern design, efficient drive, and ample battery capacity (up to 280 kWh) for a range of up to 300 kilometers. It can be charged through various methods, including quick charging.
For smaller applications, RAMPINI offers the SIXTRON, a compact minibus designed for small inner cities and historic areas. Despite its size, it offers a range of up to 250 kilometers and accommodates up to 28 passengers.
