Siemens picks Monta a EV charging software provider for corporate fleets

Zug, Switzerland- Siemens AG., and the electric vehicle (EV) charging platform provider Monta have partnered to facilitate the expansion of charging infrastructure across Europe. Siemens will use Monta's Charge Point Management System to manage its own fleet of charging stations and to provide consumers with a complete, high-availability solution for EV charging at work, in public, and at home.

Through the partnership, Siemens is able to provide corporate fleet operators one-stop shopping for e-mobility solutions. Siemens can advance its goal of making e-mobility a part of daily life by establishing a pan-European infrastructure for corporate fleet and facility management and providing charging services for their business car drivers, pool car drivers, and employees by leveraging Monta's CPMS as an operating system.

The CPMS offers charge point operation, load balancing, charger accessibility (such as reservation) and pricing, as well as charger availability (such as private/public). The operating system features automatic home reimbursement, smart access permissions, and fleet management. It also provides drivers with a variety of payment choices, including credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and others. The system setup and maintenance are handled by Siemens on behalf of the customers and are provided as a managed service by Siemens. A convenient charging experience is created using a mobile app with improved functionality.

Markus Mildner, CEO eMobility at Siemens Smart Infrastructure said, “We’re excited to be working together with Monta, integrating their innovative, feature-filled software into our offerings. This supports our ambitions to further expand EV charging infrastructure.”

Casper Rasmussen, CEO of  Monta stated, “We’re proud to be working together with a well-renowned company like Siemens who has been making a long-lasting positive impact on our society for decades. Together, we can accelerate the buildout of a pan-European charging network where EV drivers and charging point owners alike experience a smooth EV charging experience,” said Rasmussen, CEO, CTO & Co-founder of Monta.
