Hero Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 Launch Schedule Unveiled

The Hero Motocorp plans to launch the Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 scooters by the end of 2024, after their debut at EICMA 2023 and showcase at Hero World 2024.

Hero's Xoom 125R and Xoom 160 premium scooters were initially revealed at EICMA 2023 and showcased further at Hero World 2024 in January. Now, The Hero Motocorp has revealed that the Xoom 125 and Xoom 160 could be launched by the end of 2024.

New Delhi -Niranjan Gupta, CEO - Hero MotoCorp, said, We will be driving market share gains on the back of our launches in premium and 125 cc segment done in FY'24. Further, we are going to boost the scooter portfolio by launching Xoom 125 cc and Xoom 160 cc in the first half of the fiscal. Coming year will see us taking big strides in EV, through product launches in the mid and affordable segments. Overall, we see a very positive outlook for upcoming years.

Hero Xoom 125R: Design & Specifications

The Hero Xoom 125R scooter boasts a sportier design compared to the current Xoom 110 model, with its standout feature being the 14-inch wheels. It introduces segment-first sequential LED turn indicators and all-LED lighting. Additionally, it features a fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, enabling turn-by-turn navigation integration.

The Hero Xoom 125R will be powered by a new 124.6 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, delivering 9.4 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. It will feature telescopic forks at the front and a single-sided shock at the rear, with braking handled by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. Expected to include combi-braking and i3S start-stop technology for enhanced efficiency, the Xoom 125R will compete in the premium 125 cc scooter segment.

Hero Xoom 160: Design & Specifications

The Hero Xoom 160 designed the blends elements of conventional scooters with adventure styling. Featuring twin LED headlamps, a tall front apron, a secondary beak, and a long transparent visor. The scooter a spine running across the length limits practicality, while the wide, single-piece seat promises comfort during long rides. Riding on 14-inch alloy wheels with block-pattern tires, it embodies an adventurous spirit.

The Hero Xoom 160 will be powered by a new 156 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, paired with an automatic transmission. It equipped with telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear, along with disc brakes equipped with ABS on both ends for braking. Additional features will include all-LED lighting, a smart key and ignition dial, remote key ignition, a digital console, and Bluetooth connectivity.
