Castrol India Appointed New Nominee Director

Mumbai-Castrol India, an automotive and industrial lubricant manufacturing company has announced that Mr.Kartikeya Dube will be appointed as a nominee director of the company. This appointment is set to take effect on July 30, 2024, subject to the approval of shareholders of the company, as stated in a regulatory filing.

Dube is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College. With nearly 30 years of broad experience across business, finance, governance, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, procurement, and government affairs, he has spent over 21 years with bp, demonstrating significant expertise and commitment in his career.

He started his career at Arthur Andersen in 1994 and moved to Ernst & Young in 2000. Throughout his tenure at these consulting firms, he provided guidance to numerous Fortune 500 multinational corporations across various industries. His expertise covered a wide range of areas, including cross-border investment strategies, regulatory frameworks, life cycle transactions, exchange control, and investment regulations.

Dube began his career with BP in 2003 and has since progressed through a range of significant roles. Before stepping into his position as Vice President of Investor Relations at BP plc in London in 2023, he had an extensive career with BP. His previous roles included serving as Tax Manager for the Middle East and South Asia, Chief of Staff to the Country Head and President of BP Singapore, Vice President and Regional Tax Director for BP in India, the Middle East, and South Asia, and CFO for Reliance BP Mobility Limited (Jiobp), a joint venture between Reliance and BP specializing in fuel and mobility.

In July 2024, Dube was appointed as Senior Vice President for bp's Gas & Low Carbon Business in India and will take over as Head of bp in India starting in October 2024.

He serves as a Director on the boards of Reliance BP Mobility Ltd., India Gas Solution Ltd., and Bhavnagar Port Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. Additionally; he has chaired the Fiscal Affairs Committee of the Association of Oil and Gas Operators of India.
