Chennai- Iyappa Aluminum Solutions Pvt Ltd., a newly incorporated body building firm from Salem, has displayed their Aluminum trailers at the Truck Trailer & Tyre Expo 2023 held at Chennai Trade Center.
The 34 ft aluminum trailer is fitted with Hendrickson’s axles and suspensions rated 14tn GVW which was introduced recently. The material has been supplied by Hindalco Aluminum, Adithya Birla Group. Also, to highlight, Hindalco has already showcased their aluminum trailers back in 2019.
A variety of products, including cement, alumina, fly ash, grains, flour, steel coils, and cylinders, can be transported using the aluminum freight trailer. Because of the special characteristics of aluminum, the trialer is not only affordable but also secure, powerful, long-lasting, effective, and environmentally friendly. The Trailer body costs up to 9 lakhs.
The 34-foot-long aluminum trailer, is made of high-strength aluminum alloy Al 5000 supplied by Hindalco, weighs more than 2.5 tones less than a comparable steel trailer and is 50% lighter. Each trailer contributes to the achievement of BS-VI emission standards by using over 15,000 less liters of gasoline, emitting 25 tons fewer GHG, and reducing emissions. Additionally, each trailer has the capacity to add an additional load of up to 2.5 tons per journey, generating an extra revenue stream and other positive effects for the transportation sector.
