Chennai: Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, a commercial vehicle manufacturer showcased its full range of innovative products and industry-leading solutions at its Annual Global Conference 2018  at Nandambakkam Trade Centre, Chennai.

            Newly showcased buses are Alpha1- Staff application, Pearl2 – School application & Freedom3 - Intercity application, these are temporary names. Also showcased MiTR LHD11 & MiTR12 – school application bus(40seater).

            Trucks models showcased are BOSS 1223 LHD4 for Russian Market, Captain 2523 LHD5 for Ivory coast, GURU 10106 with 17ft HSD, Captain 25327 with 16cum WRS rock body, 41238-fully build load body, BOSS 16169 sleeper cab with 12KL POL Tanker, Partner LHD10, & 3718 Tipper13, 493214 tractors with trailer.

1Alpha of 10t gvw, powered with H Series 4-cylinder CRS diesel iEGR Engine offering a maximum output of 127hp @2400 rpm is coupled with 5 speed Synchromesh Gear box. A frame of 10m length, Wheelbase - 5200mm is fitted with parabolic leaf spring with antiroll bar at front and parabolic leaf spring at rear. Fully built bus of 41+D seat capacity, 2*2 semi reclining seat with arm rest. Added safety feature includes fire extinguisher, first aid, emergency exit & Rollover protection.

2Pearl of 8t gvw powered with H Series 4-cylinder CRS diesel iEGR Engine offering a maximum output 100hp @2400 rpm is coupled with 5 speed Synchromesh Gear box. A frame of 9m length, Wheelbase - 5200mm is fitted with parabolic leaf spring with antiroll bar at front and parabolic leaf spring at rear. Fully built bus of 40+D seat capacity, 2*2 Standard seat. Added safety feature includes fire extinguisher, first aid, emergency exit & Rollover protection.

3Freedom of 16t gvw powered with H Series 4-cylinder CRS diesel iEGR Engine offering maximum output of 21 HP@2400 rpm is coupled with Allison automatic transmission. A frame of 12m length, Wheelbase - 6200mm is fitted with semi elliptical spring at rear and Rubber ended leaf spring at front. Optional ABS and air suspension.

4BOSS 1223 LHD (208lt Rectangular plastic tank) of 12t gvw powered with H Series engine with SCR complaints Euro5 develops power of 230hp, which is matched with fully synchronized ZF S8-850 6 speed gearbox with OD. Frame is fitted with Parabolic leaf spring, Shock absorbed with ARB at rear and front.

5Captain 2523 LHD (14cum box body) of 25t gvw is powered with H Series CRS engine offering maximum output of 225hp @2500 rpm which is matched with 9speed with FGR 8.83:1 and CGR 12.73:1 with cable shift mechanism. The Frame of 279x90x8mm joggled bolted with cross members is fitted with semi elliptical spring, Multileaf with antiroll bar and shock absorber at front and Heavy-duty bogie suspension with V- rod.

6GURU 1010 of 10t gvw is powered with H series H3 engine with UPCRS System offering maximum output of 115hp @2700rpm which is matched with ZF S6-36 gearbox, with optimized step ratios and overdrive for better fuel efficiency. The Frame is fitted with semi elliptical spring, Multileaf with metal bushes and shock absorber at front and semi elliptical spring, Multileaf with helper spring at rear.

7Captain 2532 of 25t gvw is powered with N series 6cylinder Turbo charged intercooled CRS complaints BS4 offering maximum output of 320hp @2200rpm which is matched with 9speed OD gearbox with CGR 9.48:1 and FCR 6.58:1. The frame of 279x90x8mm joggled bolted with high strength steel adequately reinforced with internal flitches with semi elliptical spring, Multileaf with antiroll bar and shock absorber at front and Heavy-duty bogie suspension with V- rod and antiroll bar.

84123 of 41t gvw is powered with H Series 4-cylinder diesel iEGR Engine complaints BS4 offering maximum output of 225hp @2200rpm which is matched with ZF 8S1110 – 8 Speed synchromesh. The frame is fitted with semi elliptical suspension in front and slipper ended suspension in rear.

9BOSS 1616 of 16t gvw is powered with H series engine offering maximum output of 160hp @ 2400rpm which is matched with Fully synchronized ZF S6-36MKII 6 speed gearbox with OD. The frame is fitted with semi elliptical multi spring at front and semi elliptical spring, Multileaf with helper spring at rear.

10Partner LHD of 6.5t gvw is powered with EU IV ZD30 DDTi CRDi offering maximum output of 140hp @ 2750rpm which is matched with fully synchronized 5speed gearbox. The frame of 6m length, wheelbase 3320mm is fitted with Parabolic, overslung suspension with double acting shock absorber at front and semi elliptical, overslung suspension with double acting shock absorber

11MiTR LHD of 6.7t gvw is powered with EU IV ZD30 DDTi CRDi offering maximum output of 140hp which is matched with fully synchronized 5speed gearbox. The frame of 7m Length, wheelbase 3700mm is fitted with Parabolic suspension with shock absorber at front and rear. Added vacuum assisted hydraulic service brake and Transmission mounted, cable operated parking brake.

12MiTR of of 6.7t gvw is powered with EU IV ZD30 DDTi CRDi offering maximum output of 118hp which is matched with fully synchronized 5speed gearbox. The frame of 7m Length, wheelbase 4270mm is fitted with Parabolic, overslung suspension with double acting shock absorber at front and rear. Added vacuum assisted hydraulic service brake and Transmission mounted, cable operated parking brake.

133718 Tipper of 37t gvw is powered with H Series CRS engine with iEGR technology offering maximum output of 180hp @2400 rpm which is matched with 9speed with FGR 8.83:1 and CGR 12.73:1. The ladder type frame of 275x90x6mm is fitted with semi elliptical Multileaf at front and non-reactive suspension at rear.

4932 of 49t gvw is powered with N series 6-cylinder engine with iEGR technology offering maximum output of 320hp @ 2200rpm which is matched with ZF 9S1310 – 9speed synchromesh with OD and crawler gear. The frame of 279x90x8mm suspended by Semi elliptical laminated leaf in front and heavy-duty V Rod Bogie in rear, anti-roll bar on both axles.
