      Hyderabad- TUV Rheinland, a global player in testing and certification along with Automotive Test Systems (ATS), leading global automotive testing operator will be investing Rs 250 Cr to set up India's first CAV proving grounds, and state of the art EV, battery, and emerging technology testing labs in Telangana Mobility Valley.

      An MoU was signed between Govt. of Telangana and ATS & TUV Rheinland at Mobility Next Hyderabad Summit 2023 in the presence of Shri. K T Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Admin & Urban Dev, Industry & Commerce, ITE&C, Telengana. This investment is seen as a critical in developing automotive ecosystem and making the state a cost competitive destination for R&D.

      A special purpose vehicle is being set up for the project which will also be supported by strategic investors.

      The new technical centre will be spread across 125 acres and will focus on current and emerging technologies like EV, CAV , Hydrogen and Fuel cells among others. The company is also evaluating to house various test tracks to measure vehicle dynamics and ADAS features and laboratories for battery testing, cells, vehicle components, electric motors, e-axles, SIL, HIL, DIL Simulators and VIL among others in phases.
