Tokyo, Japan- Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Corporation (CJPT)., will accelerate efforts to achieve carbon neutrality and solve logistics issues together with a new company, Commercial Japan Partnership Technologies Asia Co., Ltd. (CJPT-Asia), being established in Thailand. Additionally, CJPT reinstated Hino Motors Ltd. (Hino) to the collaborative effort.
Since its founding in 2021, CJPT has pushed on-site efforts with its partners to lessen the load on drivers and workers to solve logistics challenges as well as contributing to the attainment of a carbon-neutral society through the diffusion of CASE technology. The CJPT is of the opinion that "now is the time to move with all our hearts and minds to raise Japan's competitiveness." in order to further expedite these efforts.
In Thailand, CJPT and the Charoen Pokphand Group and Siam Cement Group came to an agreement last December to promote ideas that are specifically Thai and use the resources of the nation to be carbon-neutral. 67 million people live in Thailand, and CJPT is promoting initiatives under the guiding principle of "doing what can be done now, together with partners who share the same view."
CJPT-Asia, which will be established to strengthen the promotion system in Thailand and speed up efforts in the three areas of mobility solutions, data solutions, and energy solutions, will include Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota), Isuzu Motors Limited, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd., and Hino Motors Ltd.
In 2022, Hino was expelled from CJPT due to certification testing misconduct. Since then, CJPT has been working to reform its corporate culture and regain trust. Initiatives like vehicle relicensing and customer explanations have been implemented. CJPT believes Hino is essential for a carbon-neutral society and solving logistics industry issues, so they decided to reinstate Hino with the agreement of all participating companies.
In accordance with pertinent agreements and projects, including as the social implementation of carbon-neutral measures in Fukushima and Tokyo, CJPT will once more include Hino. TMC will transfer to Hino 10% of Toyota's equity interest (70% of CJPT).
The CJPT is extending its network of like-minded partners to continue strengthening and accelerating our efforts to improve social infrastructure and safety in Japan and Asia, including the realization of carbon neutrality and addressing the 2024 logistics issue.

In April 2021, Isuzu, Hino, and Toyota formed CJPT to promote CASE technologies and address transportation industry challenges. Suzuki and Daihatsu joined in July 2021. CJPT learned from real logistics challenges, recognizing the need to tackle carbon neutrality and support workers. They're now prioritizing logistics efficiency and electrification in collaboration with their partners.
