CLAAS Introduces Axos 3 Series Compact Tractors

Harsewinkel, Germany - CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its Axos tractor lineup with the introduction of the Axos 3 series. These new compact tractors fill the gap between the larger Arion 400 and the smaller Axos 200 ranges, offering a versatile solution for various farming needs.

Compact tractors under 120 hp spend around 40% of their time handling materials and working around the yard but must also perform well in field and grassland tasks. Customers seek compact dimensions, low height for easy access through barn doors, excellent maneuverability, high payload capacity, agile handling, and superior operator comfort.

The Axos 3 features a 3.6L four-cylinder FPT engine (Stage V) with outputs of 92-120 hp and torques of 366-466 Nm at 1,500 rpm. It shares its engine block and radiator with the Nexos 200 and Axos 200 and has a 160L fuel tank. Approved for HVO fuel, it allows two preset engine speeds for easy adjustment. The Axos 3 supports large rear tyres (up to 1.6m) and robust front wheels, ensuring efficiency in four-wheel drive and precise maneuverability.

The Axos 3 offers a six-speed transmission in 12/12, 24/12, and 36/18 versions, with Twinshift and Revershift options. It reaches 40 km/h at 1,750 rpm, with 11 gears between 5-15 km/h. Revershift models allow clutchless gear changes. Optional features include an electric parking lock and Smart Stop for clutch-free operation, ideal for loader work and transport.

The Axos 3 cab (<2.50m) offers easy access, ample space, storage, and up to 10 LED headlights. It features optional dynamic steering, ISOBUS integration, and a sunroof. With a 3,600 kg payload, 5,300 kg rear lift, and optional 3,240 kg front linkage, it supports up to four spool valves, a rear PTO (2–3 speeds), and a 1,000-rpm front PTO. A K80 hitch (3,000 kg) is available. Compatible with FL 100 front loaders, it includes Propilot or E-Pilot S controls with Fastlock and Speedlink.
