Harsewinkel, Germany - CLAAS KGaA mbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the new ROLLANT 630 RC as a solo baler. Positioned above the ROLLANT 520, this model combines higher performance with enhanced operator comfort and lower running costs. With a fixed chamber diameter of 1.25 m and a 25-knife cutting rotor, it is designed for producing high-density silage, hay, and straw bales.
The ROLLANT 630 RC features a 2.10 m CLAAS MULTIFLOW pick-up with a redesigned cam track that cuts drive power needs by 20% and offers easy maintenance with removable plastic strippers. Crop flows to the bale chamber via a heavy-duty ROTO CUT feed rotor, with a choice of 17 or 25 knives for fine chopping, controlled through ISOBUS. For uneven swaths, the PRO cutting frame hydraulically opens up to 30 mm to prevent blockages, supported by a visual and acoustic warning system and cab-operated clearing.
The ROLLANT 630 RC has stronger chain drives with larger sprockets for 14% more contact area, plus a 7.2 L oil tank and central lubrication for longer service life. It features 20% stronger steel profiles and a longer drawbar for better stability and handling. Inside, 16 profiled rollers and the MPS II system deliver firm, evenly compacted bales, with adjustable pressure from 60 to 120 bar to suit varying crops.
The ROLLANT 630 RC offers adjustable net binding via ISOBUS and holds up to three rolls of ROLLATEX netting. Large 1.10 m tyres reduce soil compaction and boost stability. Operators use the CEMIS 700 terminal or CLAAS connect for digital manuals, parts ordering, and tools like a bale calculator for easier planning and cost tracking.
With the launch of the ROLLANT 630 RC, CLAAS continues to build on its decades-long legacy of baling innovation - delivering more power, higher efficiency, and greater ease of use to farmers and contractors alike.
