      Chennai- Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., (DICV) announced the new president and chief business officer as  Mr. Sreeram Venkateswaran,  effective August 29, 2023.

      In his new role, Mr. Venkateswaran would be responsible for driving domestic business growth, nurturing strategic partnerships, expanding the BharatBenz sales and service network, strengthening the credibility of brand BharatBenz and the BharatBenz product range amongst Indian customers.

      Mr. Satyakam Arya, Managing Director and CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, "Sreeram will be responsible for growing our domestic truck and bus businesses. His proven passion for BharatBenz, his understanding of the brand since inception, and his extensive experience in marketing, sales, and customer service in the transportation industry make him a worthy leader to take the brand and our domestic business to the next level."

      Venkateswaran has worked with Mahindra Logistics, Hero Cycles Ltd., Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, and Eicher Motors. He previously worked for DICV for over five years, where, in addition to creating product portfolios, mapping out and establishing the sales and service network, and improving customer experience in BharatBenz dealerships, he was an important member of the team that developed the "BharatBenz" brand.

      He has broad experience spannig more than thirty years in sales, promoting, marketing, and brand management in the transportation area, which incorporates driving organizations and overseeing P&L. He filled in as CEO at MLL Express Administrations (P) Restricted, Gurugram, before joining DICV in his ongoing job. He replaces Rajaram K., who worked with DICV for more than 10 years, the organization said in an explanation.

      Mr. Sreeram Venkateswaran said, Joining DICV after many years is a homecoming for me. I have been tracking the developments around BharatBenz over the years, and I am pleased to take on the responsibility of growing the BharatBenz business in India, engaging with stakeholders, and being ahead of the curve, which BharatBenz is known for.
