Haryana - Escorts Kubota Limited., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, reported a standalone profit of ₹326.7 crore for Q2 FY25, marking a 53.2% increase compared to ₹213.3 crore in the same quarter last year and a 7.6% rise from ₹303.5 crore sequentially. Revenue for the quarter stood at ₹2,476.2 crore, slightly higher than ₹2,464.6 crore YoY but lower than ₹2,801 crore in the previous quarter. EBITDA was ₹267.6 crore, up from ₹266.7 crore YoY but down from ₹369.4 crore sequentially.
For the first half ended September 2024, Kubota reported a standalone revenue of ₹5,277.1 crore, a slight increase from ₹5,266.8 crore in the same period last year. Profit before tax by 3.9% to ₹710.3 crore, and net profit after tax surged by 23.9% to ₹630.2 crore. On a consolidated basis, revenue was ₹5,306.9 crore, with a profit after tax of ₹625.9 crore. EPS increased to ₹56.94 from ₹46.31.
For Q2 FY25, Escorts Kubota's tractor volumes were 25,995 units, slightly down from 26,241 units YoY and 30,370 units QoQ. Segment revenue for the quarter was ₹1,884.2 crore, up from ₹1,789.4 crore YoY but down from ₹2,171.7 crore sequentially. EBIT margin for Q2 was 9.1%, compared to 9.3% YoY and 11.7% sequentially. For H1 FY25, tractor volumes totaled 56,365 units, down from 58,494 units YoY. Segment revenue rose to ₹4,055.9 crore, while EBIT margin remained stable at 10.5%, compared to 10.6% last year.
For the quarter ended September 2024, Construction Equipment sales were 1,394 units, compared to 1,709 units YoY and 1,382 units sequentially. Segment revenue for the quarter stood at ₹379.9 crore, down from ₹440.2 crore YoY and slightly up from ₹380.6 crore sequentially. The EBIT margin for the segment was 9.3%, compared to 9.9% YoY and 10.3% sequentially. In the Railway Equipment segment, revenue for Q2 FY25 was ₹211.2 crore, down from ₹234.3 crore YoY and ₹244.7 crore sequentially. The EBIT margin for this segment was 15.2%, compared to 18.5% YoY and 20.5% QoQ.
