      New Delhi: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry notified Vishakhapatnam port been added to the 15-existing list of ports and Inland Container Depots (ICDs)1 for importing new vehicles under Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020.

      The other ports include Nhava Sheva, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Ennore, Cochin, Kattupalli, Krishnapatnam, Mumbai Air Cargo Complex, Delhi Air Cargo, Chennai Airport, Telegaon Pune, Tughlakabad and Faridabad.

      1Inland Container Depot (ICD), a combination of services of sea custodian, customs department, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers etc. are carried out to facilitate exporters and importers for smooth handling of cargo. ICD is also act as Dry port or CFS in many countries.
