Mysore / New Delhi - JK Tyre & Industries Ltd of New Delhi announced the inauguration of an advanced global technology centre called the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence (RPSCOE), a part of HASETRI1, in Mysore, last month

RPSCOE is to focus on multiple aspects of tyre technology, including developing advanced laboratory predictors for tyre performance and providing key inputs for life prediction of rubber products. The facility has specialized software for noise vibration and harshness data analysis.

Also, it will collaborate and support suppliers and manufacturers globally, and is predicated on the company’s philosophy of constantly learning and re-skilling its workforce.

Dr Raghupati Singhania, chairman and managing director, JK Tyre and Industries Ltd said the new R&D Centre reiterated the company’s trust in past, present and future technology. He said: “RPSCOE is a celebration of excellence, it is testimony to JK Tyre’s ethos of investing in technology. Ever since we introduced India to radial tyre technology in 1977, we have continued our search to stoke the scientific temperament. A year ago, we rolled out our 10 millionth truck/bus radial tyre from our plant in Mysore, becoming the first company in India to do so."

1Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer & Tyre Research Institute is an associate company of JK Tyre, which was established in the year 1991 and is located at Mysore, Karnataka. It is involved in developing improved technologies for the testing and production of rubber products including elastomers, tyres, polymers and other allied products.
