New Leadership for AIRIA, Mr Shashi Kumar Singh Re-elected as President

AIRIA has re-elected Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh as President for 2024-25. Mr. Anay Gupta and Mr. K. Ganesh will serve as Senior Vice-President and Vice President, respectively, focusing on growth and innovation in the rubber sector.

Mumbai- The All-India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA), established in 1945 to promote the interests of the rubber industry in India, has unanimously elected its office bearers for 2024-25 during the Annual General Meeting on September 25, 2024, in Mumbai: President, Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh – Osaka Rubber Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, Senior Vice-President: Mr. Anay Gupta – Vinko Auto Industries Ltd., South Delhi, Vice President: Mr. K. Ganesh – MRP Autorub Group of Companies, Chennai

Mr. Shashi Kumar Singh has been re-elected as President, having previously distinguished himself in this role. A prominent figure in the rubber industry, Mr. Singh brings over 20 years of experience and is also involved in cement and construction, serving as Director for Chunar Churk Cement Ltd., Hi-Span Developers (P) Ltd., and Shree Salasar Developers (P) Ltd. He has held various positions within the Association, including Chief Convener of the Western Region’s National Rubber Conference in 2019 and a member of the Core Committee at India Rubber Expo 2024. Currently, he is a Governing Council member of IRMRI and Chairman at RCPSDC, New Delhi. As Director of Osaka Rubber Private Limited, Mr. Singh has transformed the company into a leading manufacturer of extruded rubber profiles and sealant tapes in India. His expertise in project execution, equipment selection, and modernization has led to the development of numerous sealant compounds, providing substitutes for imports.

Mr. Anay Gupta, a key leader at Vinko Auto Industries Ltd., has been elected as the Senior Vice-President of the All-India Rubber Industry Association (AIRIA). With a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from San Jose State University, Mr. Gupta began his career in 1993 as Executive Director at Vinko and has since advanced to Managing Director in 2017. His strategic vision and expertise in export marketing have significantly strengthened Vinko’s market position. Additionally, Mr. Gupta has been a member of AIRIA’s Managing Committee since 2017 and previously served as Chairman for AIRIA (NR) during the fiscal years 2020-21 and 2021-22. He is dedicated to promoting growth, innovation, and marketing excellence within the organization.

Mr. K. Ganesh has been elected as Vice President, brings a wealth of knowledge to his role, having served as Managing Director of MRP Autorub Group of Companies in Chennai. With an MBA from Madras University, he has been with the company since its inception in 1979, playing a pivotal role in its growth into a respected supplier of rubber components, with nearly 40% of its turnover coming from exports. An active member of AIRIA for over 15 years, he has held various leadership positions, including Regional Chairman and Convener of NRC.
