London, United Kingdom– Saietta Group plc., a British electric drivetrain (eDrive) specialist, has announced the appointment of Mr. David Woolley as Chief Executive Officer to build on the company’s success and drive further growth.

David joins Saietta with effect from October 2 and at a point of inflection for the company as it launches serial production of its ground-breaking eDrive solutions at both its current manufacturing facility in Sunderland, UK, and its brand-new production facility in Delhi, India.

David has a 35-year international career in leadership positions, giving him a wide range of experience. He served as the CEO of Concentric AB, one of the top pump manufacturers in the world and a Swedish company listed on the NASDAQ, for more than ten years. He has concentrated since 2017 on the switch to electric vehicles from internal combustion engines, particularly in the creation of motors, controllers, and software for eTrucks, eBuses, and eMachines.

Prior to joining Saietta, David was CEO at VIE Kapital AB, which invests in technology-based manufacturing companies primarily focussed on electrification and decarbonisation.

Mr. Tony Gott, Executive Chairman and Interim CEO of Saietta Group plc, said that, As we transition into series production of our ground-breaking eDrive solutions in our manufacturing facility in Sunderland, UK, and at the new production facility in Delhi, India, we are happy to welcome David to the Saietta team at this pivotal time for the company. In addition to his extensive knowledge of the Indian market, which is crucial for Saietta strategically, David brings to the table unmatched experience from across the business. His expertise in leading the electrification transition will be crucial to the creation of our future strategy and product line.

Mr. David Woolley said that, I think Saietta's cutting-edge technology, particularly in the field of lightweight vehicles, will be crucial to achieving electrification. As we ramp up production in the UK and India and expand our product offering for the future, I am thrilled to join the team at this pivotal juncture in its strategic path. Together with the team, I'm excited to implement the next phases of the Saietta plan and bring about long-term, profitable growth.

Tony Gott will continue his role as Executive Chairman until the end of the financial year when he plans to return to his position as Non-Executive Chairman.
