Hanover, Germany- At the IAA Transportation 2024, ZF Commercial promulgated about the new version of their Advanced Driving Assistance System OnGuardMAX and the modular brake platform, mBSP XBS for the European Market concerning the road way safety, which meets the cybersecurity regulation UNECE R155. To enhance the safety of both the driver and the vehicle it has brought The combination of latest version of OnGuardMAX with the improved radar and camera technologies and greater quality image processing module.
The new safety elevations to OnGuardMAX with high techlogy includes the Moving Off Information System (MOIS) and Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) feature, which helps in monitoring the area directly in front of the vehicle where any objects or pedestrians which are not easily visible to the driver from the cab’s high vantage area while making movement. Latest version of AI has been included i.e. Highway Assist and Traffic Jam Assist, helping the vehicle with automatic adjustment of speed and in maintaing safe distance, even in stop-and-go traffic. Lane assist functions are also included such as Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist and Lane Centering for safer highway driving.
OnGuardMAX can be connected to as many as six short range radars, covering up to 80 meters on either side of the vehicle and up to 220 meters in front, with a field of view spanning 150 degrees.
