Monrovia, United State- Webasto Charging Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of the Webasto Group, has expands TurboConnect charger availability in early 2024, emphasizing commitment to accessible EV charging. Originally for high-volume customers, it will soon be accessible to a broader audience. Two new additions, Turbo DX 2 Charging Station and Webasto Go Gen 2 High-Power Cordset, to be available in 2024, enhancing EV charging efficiency and accessibility. 

The TurboConnect charging station, designed for both private and commercial use, features advanced Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet connectivity, complying with stringent cybersecurity standards. With a robust 11.5kW (48A) power output, it rapidly adds approximately 44 miles of range per hour, catering to residential, fleet, workplace, destination charging, and more.

Bauer, Executive Vice President at Webasto Charging, said that,Webasto's TurboConnect charger seamlessly integrates with the ChargeConnect Web Portal and App, offering reservation and QR code features. It smoothly integrates with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), enhancing efficiency and data accuracy. The platform prioritizes accessibility and convenience, emphasizing Webasto's commitment to advancing EV charging in the evolving electric vehicle landscape.

Webasto Charging Systems Unveils Two New Charging Solutions

The Turbo DX 2 Charging Station is a versatile Level 2 charger (7.7kW) with plug-in or hardwired options, delivering up to 30 miles of range per hour. Housed in rugged aluminum, it ensures reliability and safety, addressing the demand for efficient charging. Integrated with Smart Home Applications, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Webasto ChargeConnect, it offers a comprehensive solution for evolving residential and public EV charging needs.

Mr. Michael Schoenberger VP of Research & Development of Webasto Charging Systems, said that, The Webasto Go Gen 2 High-Power redefines portable Level 2 EV charging with advanced safety features, supporting up to 9.6kW (40A) at 240V, adding 37.5 miles of range per hour. Compact and lightweight, it excels in challenging conditions, offering unmatched convenience and reliability for electric vehicle owners at home or on the go.

In 2024, the Gen 2 Cordset by Webasto Charging Systems, exclusive to high-volume customers, provides white labeling and customization options for a tailored portable EV charging experience. Prioritizing safety and energy efficiency, all products are certified by recognized bodies and Energy-Star rated. Notably, the chargers support either the SAE J1772 or NACS coupler standard.
