Chennai- Ashok Leyland Limited., of the Hinduja Group, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles, reported a 1% increase in domestic sales to 1,82,830 units in FY24 from 1,80,916 in FY23. The company's monthly sales decreased by 7% to 21,317 units in March 2024 from 22,885 in March 2023.

 Ashok Leyland reported a 2% year-over-year increase in the M&HCV (medium and heavy commercial vehicle) category, going from 1,14,299 units in FY23 to 1,16,197 units in FY24. When comparing this figure month over month, there was a 9% decline. lens. Compared to 14,517 units sold the previous month, the company sold 15,936 units on March 23. 

When examining the company's overall domestic and export sales numbers, the number of automobiles sold increased by 1%. Compared to 192205 in FY23, it sold 1,94,683 units in FY24. It decreased by 4% month over month to 22,866 units on March 24 from 23,926 units in the same month the previous year. The M&HCV segment experienced a 1% increase in sales to 1,24,883 units in FY24. However, month over month, its sales decreased by 7%, from 16,773 units in March 23 to 15,562 units in March 2024.
